BLACK HOLE
IT_

Six photographs show the artist’s body marked with dark areas representing deep scars coming from the soul. These dark stains are painted directly on the skin, through a sacred and ritual action. During this process, the darkness coming from within becomes visible on the outside, changing its shape and contours. The dark stains alter the body, they wrap it, tear it apart, penetrate and reduce it, the result is the transformation and reshaping of the body itself caught on the camera. The words describing the artist’s feelings are visible on the image surface, so the curious observer who approaches the artwork can read them. In some areas the words are almost hidden by the mixture of light and shade, in this way the words are constantly revealing or hiding themselves, they look like a screening or like the grain of a film. These words are part of a rite and they express it, they describe a painful but important developing moment of the story of the artist.
